What is your most memorable wine or wine and food experience?
In the 80’s I found a bottle of Chateau Haut Brion in the bargain bin at a private liquor store in Denver! It cost only a few dollars and I speculated that some inexperienced store clerk put it in the bargain bin because it was 10 years old. The wine was excellent!
What wines have you always wanted to try but haven’t? What is you favorite vineyard? Region?
I’ve always wanted to try top notch red and white burgundies but never have. My favorite vineyard is the To Kalen vineyard in Napa which produces some outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon.
What event or experience started your journey in wine?
When my wife and I were married one of the gifts we received was two cases of assorted wines. But more importantly a book on the Wines of the World was included which sparked our long time interest in wine.
