What is your most memorable wine or wine and food experience?
One of the many great wines I’ve enjoyed was at our BC Guild of Wine Judges graduation party. I brought a magnum of 1998 Clos Des Papes, Chateauneuf du Pape.   It was decanted for over 6 hours and tasted oh so good for a 26-year-old wine.   Wine always tastes better when sharing with good friends.  Another very memorable experience was sharing a 1996 Dom Perignon with my father for his 80th birthday. Both wines were very memorable.

What wines have you always wanted to try but haven’t? What is your favorite vineyard? Region?
My favorite wine regions are the Rhone Valley, (both north and south) and Burgundy although, I would never turn down any good wine from any wine region.   A wine I have been patiently waiting to drink from my cellar is a 2008 Chateau Lafite.   Maybe when I turn 60 next year or perhaps when I retire.

What event or experience started your journey in wine?
I have been very fortunate to have had a few memorable food and wine experiences in my life so far but the experience that started my journey in wine was attending a wine & cheese party my parents hosted where I first tasted a 1994 Dominus.  It was an amazing experience and piqued my interest
