What is your most memorable wine or wine and food experience?
Travelling through Hungarian vineyards with a Hungarian friend tasting for the best Tokaji Aszu wine. This was followed by a spectacular local wild game dinner.
What wines have you always wanted to try but haven’t? What is your favorite vineyard? Region?
My favourite wine region is the Champagne country around Rheims.
What event or experience started your journey in wine?
As a small vineyard owner, I needed to gain more skills on winemaking. I joined the BC Guild of Wine Judges to learn through discussion the many processes involved. Now, as a qualified wine judge, I am continually tasting and learning about a variety of wines with a dedicated group of wine lovers. To be able to judge wines and make recommendations to other artisanal winemakers is quite rewarding.
